Question :
What is meant by 'Associative Law' ?

Answer :
Associative Law means that the terms of an expression means connected by plus or minus signs can be grouped in any manner.
For example :
(3 + 9) + 4 = 3 + (9 + 4)
On solving LHS, we get 12 + 4. While solving RHS, we get 3 + 13
Further on solving LHS, we get 16 which is same as answer obtained on solving RHS.
Some Properties:
For addition and multiplication of real numbers,
(A + B) + C = A + (B + C) = A + B + C

( A B ) C = A ( B C ) = A B C
For all a, b, c e R
For union or intersection of sets,
