For example :

(3a x 4bc) x d = b x d x 3 x a x 4 x c = (bd)(3ac)4
General form of Associative Law of Multiplication :
(A x B) x C = A x (B x C).
For binary operation, symbolized by ., joining mathematical entities A, B, and C obeys the associative law if
(A . B) . C = A . (B . C)
