There are generally two Unity Fractions in every equation. Then how do we know which one to use ? |

Use the one that makes it possible for you to cancel the units you do not need.
The equation 1 yard = 3 ft. |
It gives two fractions (1 Yd / 3 ft) and (3 ft / 1 Yd)
Both are, of course, equal to 1. In this case try one of the two fractions. If it works good. If not, try the other one.
