Measurement numbers are very much like the ordinary numbers in arithmetic. They can be added, subtracted, multiplied and
divided. However while doing these operations one has to convert all measurement numbers into the same units. |

We cannot add 4 feet and 9 inches, we have to convert so that
both measurements are either in foot units or inch units. |
